What’s lurking on your PC?

You’ve probably read about spyware, maybe keyloggers and adware too. Do you wonder:

  • Whether anyone’s watching where you go on the web?
  • What information they might be "phoning home" about you?
  • Why the spam count goes up after you visit certain sites?

Now you can find out for sure with PestScan.

PestScan from PestPatrol is an ActiveX-based scanner that runs right from this website, downloading just a few small components to your computer. It’s a quick and easy way to scan your PC for pests in the places they’re most likely to be hiding. And, because the PestScan results link directly to our huge PestInfo database, you can find out exactly what the danger level is. PestPatrol, our full-featured product, allows you to safely remove or quarantine the pests you find, and detect even more invasive and destructive pests.

Registration

In order to better serve you, we ask you to register before scanning your computer. We ask for your name and e-mail address so that we may inform you of future improvements to the PestScan service and related information on PestPatrol, and for your country of residence so that we can track the global spread of pests. Of course, we respect your privacy, so you can also scan without registering.

Note: When you first use PestScan, you will see several Microsoft "Security Warning" windows like this. This is simply letting you know that PestScan is a ‘signed’, or ‘certified’, ActiveX application, meaning you can trust it to behave properly on your PC. Just click Yes to download the PestScan components needed to run the scanner. It may take up to several minutes to complete this download, depending on your connection speed.
