At one time or another you may have sent an email and then regretted it and wanted to not allow the recipient to read it. If so, there is a brand new solution. Its called BigString, a brand new service that allows a sender to recall, edit or delete a message. The web based email even allows you to self-destruct the message...Mission Impossible style.

It stores the message on the BigString server and then when a user opens the message it loads the body of the message from their server. This allows BigString to recall the message, delete it before the recipient reads it, or destroy in Mission Impossible style.

Bigstring.com is a web-based email service similar to Yahoo Mail, GMail, Hotmail, and others. However, the features are far beyond the capabilities of the other web-based email providers. BigString's patent pending technology uses techniques similar to image based spam email that allows emails and pictures to be rendered non-printable or non-savable, to be read only a certain number of times, to self-destruct at a given time, or to completely recall the email. This can be done before or after the recipient reads it, no matter what Internet service provider is being used.

BigString's free video email feature allows five-minute video e-mails to be uploaded directly from a video camera or computer without having to use downloads or plug-ins. The ability to protect videos from being forwarded or otherwise passed around can prevent embarrassing incidents from ending up on YouTube or other video sharing sites.

Because emails are only stored on the BigString's servers, emails don't languish on multiple servers or on backup tapes to be recalled at any time. Once an email is deleted from BigString its gone forever. They even offer email tracking to know when and how often your email has been viewed.

Although their basic free email service comes with 1GB of storage and allows users to send video attachments up to five minutes long, they also offer a premium account that allows users an email with their own domain name and 2GB of storage for $2.50 per month. A Business account that includes 10 emails with your own domain, 20GB of storage, and 30 minute video attachments costs $12.49 per month.

Although BigString email is web based, with the premium account, you can convert the email into a POP access account that can be used with such programs as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Incredimail, and others.
