is one of the great inventions of the computer world. If you don't know
how to spell a word, you try spelling it the best you can then run
spellcheck and it will correct it. I know many people who absolutely
rely on spell check to make sure their emails, documents and other
correspondence is spelled correctly. However, the spellcheck function in Outlook Express can sometimes come up missing. Outlook Express relies on the spell checker built into Microsoft Office products like Word or Works. If you do not have an MS Office product installed on your computer, then the spellcheck is missing. Are There Other Spell Check Alternatives?
In fact there are quite a few other alternatives to adding spell check to Windows. One of the best known is IESpell, a free IE browser extension that allows you to check spelling in text input boxes on a webpage. There is also a cool website that allows you to cut and paste text into a box and spellcheck it for free. Its called SpellCheck.Net

What about Windows Vista?
Outlook Express has morphed into Windows Mail for the Windows Vista operating system. This product DOES have spell check built into it. However, there is one problem, many times when trying to use spellcheck in Windows Mail you'll receive the following message:1) Open Windows Mail
2) Click on Tools
3) Click on Options
4) Click on the Spelling tab
5) Under the Language section, click on another language besides English
6) Click Apply
7) Choose English under the Language section
8) Click Apply
9) Click OK
10) Create a new message and try spell check, it should now work.
